The Duties Of Sliders In FIFA 13

Hi guyz, Today I am gonna tell you The Duties Of Sliders In FIFA 13.
So Lets Start:-
  • Sprint Speed
Raising this option above 50 will increase the maximum speed of the players, which greatly influences the pace of the game. (Player speed is still relative to the speed of one player vs. another e.g. Ronaldo will still outpace Mertesacker based on their in-game stats). What you’ll notice is that the animation for running is very fast. Almost cartoonish Benny Hill style of running especially when set to 100.
  • Acceleration:
The higher the value on this slider, the quicker players will reach their maximum speed. This is an important slider to note when discussing turning on the ball and holding run. Raising the slider above 50 will give instant acceleration. Lower than 50 makes the player feel sluggish, as if they are stuck knee deep in mud, which leads to incredible frustration for all. More on this later.
  • Shot Error
This slider defines shooting accuracy. The higher the value, the more likely that the shot will go off target.
  • Pass Error
Similar to shooting. The higher the value of this slider, the higher the probability of a mis-placed pass even between 2 players who are 5 yards apart. Even Iniesta who has passing ability of 90 will mis-place his short passes, albeit at a lower rate than others with lesser passing stats accordingly.
  • Shot Speed
Self explanatory. The higher the slider setting, the faster the shot. Setting this slider to 100 and shooting, you’ll notice incredibly unrealistic shots that are frighteningly fast. Even at 75, the shots travel like a bullet past the keeper.
  • Pass Speed
Once again self explanatory. Set it too low, and the pass will easily be intercepted each time by the AI. Even if you use the threaded pass (R1+Pass). Set it too high, and the ball will travel like a bullet to your team-mate who will most likely mis-control it, leading to loss of possession.
  • Injury Frequency
As the name implies, this slider increases or decreases the frequency of injuries per game.
  • Injury Severity
Self Explanatory. The higher the value, the bigger the chances of a serious injury. Likelihood of 2 or 3 games out.
  • Goalkeeper Ability
This slider will create some horrible flashbacks for a lot of players. Setting it low, will make even Neuer turn into ‘Super GK’. Setting it high, will feel as if you have two in-form Neuers in goal. (As if one wasn’t bad enough)
  • Positioning – Marking
Another important slider that will be discussed in more detail later. This slider changes the positioning of your defenders in the way they mark the opponent.
  • Positioning – Run Frequency
Determines the number of forward runs by attackers and wingers. Another important slider to be discussed later.
  • Positioning – Line Height
The higher this value, the closer the defensive lines will be to the midfield. (This is only for defenders)
  • Positioning – Line Length
This slider controls the separation between the lines of the team (defence, midfield, attack), which seem far apart in the default mode. Setting it to low, the players will be slightly closer to each other, facilitating easier passing moves between them.
  • Positioning – Line Width
Alters the width of the lines, i.e., the distance between the fullbacks and the central defenders.
  • Positioning – Fullback Positioning
In conjunction with the above slider, this slider defines the positioning of the fullbacks. Despite sometimes instructing the fullback to ‘stay back when attacking’, if this slider is set to high, your fullback will move forward, therefore overwriting the custom tactic command.
  • Power Bar
This slider has huge implications. It defines the length of time taken to power up a shot or pass. While I wish to write everything that I have discovered by simply changing this slider, please read on for a more detailed output and testing analysis.
